This webinar will BLOW YOUR MIND. It will help you discover the importance of shifting your paradigm to a Trauma Informed Care lens. Understanding individual trauma and incorporating a new ‘trauma informed lens’ can reshape our interactions with one another, co-workers, and our community. We will learn about trauma, the brain science; ways in which we can utilize this approach in the private sector and in professional settings and how this ‘movement’ is reshaping work in our communities. Be in the know of trauma and get to the root of words like ‘empathy’, ‘compassion’, and ‘understanding’.  But make no mistake, if implemented in your personal and professional life, within institutions and organizations, and in partnership with the community; changes in how we connect with people, students, professionals, and those who may be most vulnerable in our community; will enhance and grow our relationships and careers.

Leaning Objectives

  1. Learn and understand brain science related to trauma and its impact on individuals in the helping professions.
  2. Develop and enrich your knowledge of Adverse Childhood Experiences and the lifelong impact of trauma on individuals over the lifespan.
  3. Apply a new perspective and skillful tools to enhance practice interventions and outcomes with clients.
  4. Examine personal, professional, and agency practices pre- and post-trauma informed care and shifting perspective to a trauma-informed lens.

This virtual presentation is approved for 1 NASW CEU and pending 1 CCMC CEU.
